Anmol Anand

Anmol is a member of the production team and is a freshman from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Anmol is studying Computer Science in The College of Engineering and is involved in the Lloyd Hall Scholars Program, MECC Consulting Group, and the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity at Michigan. This is his first time being involved in theater in any capacity, and he has learned a lot about the process of taking words from a script onto a stage. He would also like to give a special shoutout to Shelley Mannis for being one of his favorite teachers ever. She managed to make theater, something he previously had no interest in, extremely enjoyable for him.

Joel is excited to be a part of An Evening with Tony Kushner! A freshman in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts from Philadelphia, PA, Joel has been involved in theater throughout his entire life. Starting in elementary school as Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks in Annie to his leadership of the publicity department for his high school theater department, Harriton Theater Company, he has always shown a passion for the performing arts. Aside from theater, Joel loves to write, read, play the piano, and rewatch Mad Men. As he always says, where there's chocolate, there's me! He is currently considering studying English and possibly Political Science, and is looking forward to his theatrical debut at Michigan!

Caroline DiNome, actor in this production, is a freshman from Wynnewood, Pennsylvania majoring in Industrial and Operations Engineering. Caroline has been apart of the theater for as long as she can remember, performing in many musicals, such as Anything Goes, Into The Woods, Greece, and Godspell, and several plays, one being The Election. She looks forward to pursuing acting opportunities at Michigan. Other extracurriculars that Caroline partakes in at the university are greek life and the Michigan Lean Consortium Consulting group. 

Zoe Duncan-doroff

Zoe Duncan-Doroff is a Sophomore from Portland, Oregon, studying Screen Arts and Cultures. She is a firm believer in Karma, Pesto Pasta and the power of art to bring people together and to incite important dialogue.  Although she has no theatrical experience more recent than 2012, Zoe is deeply invested in promoting the arts here at Michigan. This past fall she founded Live in Color -- a student organization dedicated to painting murals on campus. Regarding A Night with Tony Kushner, she has been responsible for the production's website, and has thoroughly enjoyed generating the public face for such a consequential production. Zoe is excited to follow Michigan's high caliber drama scene, as it continues to make groundbreaking headway with the incredible Shelley Manis at the helm.

Talia Gothelf, one of the four actors in this production of An Evening with Tony Kushner, is a Freshman in the School of Kinesiology, from Huntington Woods, Michigan. She is majoring in Movement Science, hoping to become a Physical Therapist. Outside of the classroom she is involved with Lloyd Hall Scholars program, and Alpha Phi Omega. Talia is very excited to be a part of this production, and show everyone what she has been working on in class. She would like to thank Shelley Manis for a spectacular semester. She would also like to thank her fellow classmates for helping to put this show together.

Victoria Guevara, one of the members of the production team, is a freshman from Sicklerville, New Jersey (right outside of Philadelphia). She will hopefully be working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from the Ford School at the University of Michigan. She hopes to eventually become a patent attorney. Outside of class, she is a coxswain on the Michigan Men's Rowing Team and a brother in the Beta Alpha Rho Pre-Law fraternity. Her friends were stars in her high school plays, and she is excited to work more on the publicity side of the production. She believes that this play has a message that can resonate with all.

Teddy Gutkin is a freshman in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts from New York City.  Teddy had wanted to be an actor early in life, but it was clear that this was not in the cards after he forgot his lines as a narrator during a school production of The Cat in the Hat (even though his part allowed him to use a script).  Today, Teddy prefers to be behind the scenes, working with the publicity team to help advertise the production and help gain experience for a potential career in media, which has been a dream of his for many years.  While he has not been involved in many productions, Teddy is an avid fan of theater, going to many shows with his family and helping with set design during a camp production of Grease.  Teddy is planning to major in Communication Studies, and is considering a minor in Screen Arts and Culture.

Savanna Johnson, part of the publicity and photographer for the production, is a freshman from Oscoda, Michigan. She is planning to major in Environmental Science and minor in Oceanography. While she regularly follows the theatre and is an avid fan of many plays, this is her first time actively participating in a production. She is extremely grateful to have had the chance to work behind the scenes on this year's An Evening With Tony Kushner with a group of such amazingly talented people, and hopes that you find the show to be an entertaining and thought-provoking experience.

frances mackethan

Frances MacKethan, one of the directors, is a freshman in the School of LSA and is from Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Frances has been involved in theater for the majority of her lifetime, starting with junior musicals in elementary school, leading into larger productions in middle school and highschool, and continuing into the present, where she is directing for the first time. Outside of class, Frances splits her time between playing on the quidditch team and sewing costumes. She hopes you enjoy the show and appreciates the opportunity she was given to be part of the directing team for this production.

Eric Margolin, one of two dramaturgs for An Evening with Tony Kushner, is a freshman in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts from New Orleans, Louisiana. Eric’s first experience in the theater was as the baker in a middle school production of Beauty and the Beast. After he quickly learned acting wasn’t for him, he moved to the non-staged side of the theater. This is his first time as a dramaturg on any production, but he has worked in the technical theater department of many programs during his time in high school including but not limited to Honk, Annie, and numerous concerts spanning multiple genres. He plans to study Data Science and is considering a minor in writing.

Anna Nichols, a set designer, is a freshman from Troy, Michigan and plans to study Economics and International Studies.  In addition to the Lloyd Hall Scholars program, Anna is involved in Model United Nations at the University of Michigan, Delta Gamma Phi, and the Michigan Marching Band.  Although her theater experience is limited, Anna has enjoyed designing sets and working with the rest of the production team throughout the semester.

Morgan Rubino, one of the two set designers, is a freshman hailing from Rochester, Michigan. She currently plans to pursue a major in Communications and a double minor in Spanish and Writing through the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. At U of M, Morgan is involved in the Lloyd Hall Scholars Program, K-Grams, and is a Staff Arts Writer for The Michigan Daily. While she is a huge theater fan, she has never worked behind-the-scenes in a production. Lastly, she would like to thank all of her classmates for a great semester and Shelley Manis for putting together such a great performance!

Hannah Tamarkin, one of two dramaturgs from this production, is a freshman from Allentown, Pennsylvania. She is currently working towards her Bachelor of Business Administration from the Ross School of Business. At Michigan, she is involved in the Lloyd Hall Scholars Program, Delta Phi Epsilon, and the TAMID Group. Hannah was involved in theater in middle school, and she acted in Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, and Alice in Wonderland. She is so excited that this is her first production working behind the scenes!

Michaela Zewde, a costume designer for An Evening with Tony Kushner, is a freshman studying in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts from Williamston, Michigan. Michaela's first interaction with theater was 8 years ago in stage design in her elementary school's 4th and 5th grade production of The Wizard of Oz. More recently however, Michaela has found interest in writing, and was a finalist in the Wharton Center's 21st annual Young Playwrights Festival for her play, Cursed Tongue. Now, Michaela has returned to theater design to incorporate her love of storytelling through the costumes and characters of Tony Kushner's incredible works.

Isabella Schilling is one of the two Costume Designers for An Evening With Tony Kushner. She is currently a student at the University Of Michigan in the college of Literature, Science, and the Arts. At U of M she is involved in the Lloyd Hall Scholars Program, TEPA, as well as music club. She is currently pursuing a double major in English Education and Psychology. Isabella has had theater experience in middle school, including acting in Stuart Little. In high school she had experience producing short films/commercials/advertisements through her TV 2 class.

Marisa Danielle Wright, a co-Assistant Director, is a freshmen in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts from Crown Point, Indiana. She is currently planning on double-majoring in Political Science and Women's Studies whilst minoring in Writing. This is Marisa's first show as an Assistant Director, but she has spent many hours onstage as an actress and backstage on Costume, Hair, and Makeup Crew for productions such as Oklahoma!, Charlotte's Web,  Bye Bye Birdie, 12 Angry Jurors, and Kiss Me, Kate. She is thrilled to be a part of An Evening with Tony Kushner and would like to thank Dr. Shelley Manis for a wonderful year!
